Black and white color (a poem).

Dreams are starched: pressed and ironed to the inside pages of an outdated news paper clipping. Pin up dresses and prohibition narrate my daydreams. Gentlemen stroll on board walks, tip flat billed hats to ladies who sip daintily from
black and white
lips, feet tangled at the ankles. Soda shops play swingers’ music; wealthy men toss keys to boys who park cars at the picture show. Seagulls dribble across the skyline I drown in midair. Neon and pastel painted pallets plaster nightmares in blacklight purple glow pulsing against my brain walls.
