Grey cloud rain; near the edge of the woods.

A dance is prepared in celebration. The trees stretch their bark, turning leaf edges upward, preparing to collect droplets, and deposit cupped full palms: an offering to the mushrooms and moss crowding together on the earth below. The dew freshened expanse between uncut grass, and wild lily flowers convolutes the air, heavy saturated, pulsing in anticipation of grey cloud rain
